Compact uprox+ sensor offers a high level of mounting freedom

Turck is presenting a new uprox+ sensor with a Q10S housing design particularly suited to the needs of the mounting and handling industries at the Motek. The compact Factor 1 sensor with the dimensions 10 x 10 x 28 mm features the same high switching distances for all metals and offers a large degree of freedom with mounting. Thus sensors of this series can be mounted directly on metal, and with an intermediate metal plate they can even be mounted directly beside one another.
The Q10S achieves a switching distance of 5 mm both with non-flush and partly-flush mounted sensors. With fully flush mounting the safe switching distance is reduced to 2.3 mm eliminating the need for an additional flush version.
The new Q10S sensors are currently available with both a PUR cable as well as a pigtail variant with a M8x1 connector. The housing is made of chemically resistant and mechanically robust polypropylene. The sensor operates in a temperature range of -30°C...+85°C.
