The BL compact series offers high application compatibility in small housings
19/08 – October 10, 2008
Turck now offers a new series of compact I/O modules that provide a large variety of different I/O in small and rugged housings. The new I/O modules use technology based on the reliable BL67 modular I/O system and include different BL67 electronic components and a programmable gateway within a single epoxy-sealed housing that is equally resistant to dirt or shock. Having only one part number, a BL compact station helps to reduce installation and storage costs.
Up to 16 digital or analog signals on one single I/O block module provide increased application compatibility and enable the user to move towards a consistently decentralised process. Market-oriented input combinations (XSG-PD, analog in- and outputs, RS232, RS 485, SSI or RFID) and special I/O combinations enable the user to achieve a highly flexible supply chain management – without having to change and expand the communication devices regularly.
On market entry, the IP67 stations will be available in three housing sizes and six different I/O profiles for Profibus-DP and DeviceNet. Soon, the BL compact series will support all established fieldbus protocols, as well as Industrial Ethernet and IO-Link.
Alternatively equipped with M8, M12 or M16 metal connector plugs for full plug-and-play convenience, all housing versions provide function control LEDs and turn-switch encoding for easy address-alignment.
