I/O Module

The strength of block I/O modules lies in their simple, distributed wiring. Thanks to Turck's multiprotocol standard, Turck's modules effectively reduce the number of device variants needing to be reserved: International machine and plant manufacturers use these modules in networks with PROFINET, Ethernet/IP or Modbus-TCP control, without modifying them. Their multilingual functionality not only reduces storage costs but also supports the digitization of your production: While the modules are communicating with the controller via PROFINET or Ethernet/IP, status data for preventive maintenance can be accessed via Modbus TCP.

TBEN-L – Robust IP67 Block I/O Modules with Ethernet

Turck's block I/O series TBEN-L is ideally suited for harsh industrial environments due to its fully potted electronics. The modules with protection classes IP67/IP69K can be mounted directly on the machine and thus save commissioning and wiring work. Multiprotocol communication means that users with international customers only have to have one device variant for three network protocols. Multiprotocol also facilitates condition monitoring, as status data can be called up in parallel with user data communication. The intelligent grounding concept saves time-consuming modifications to the I/O module.

The redundancy concepts MRP (Profinet) and DLR (Ethernet/IP) increase the availability of the Ethernet network.

Best in class: With Fast Start-up and Quick Connect , the modules are online in applications with tool changes in less than 150 milliseconds

Since the digital outputs continuously switch to 2 amps, it is usually possible to dispense with additional voltage for actuators.

The ARGEE programming environment means that the modules for control in the field are easy to use and free of charge.

The temperature range of -40 - +70 °C and protection classes from IP65, IP67 to IP69K enable use in even the harshest applications.

Thanks to multiprotocol, one device is sufficient for three systems: Use in PROFINET, Modbus TCP or Ethernet/IP – without user intervention.

TBEN-S – Ultracompact Ethernet I/O Modules

With a width of only 32 millimeters, TBEN S-block I/O modules are barely larger than a chocolate bar, thus fitting perfectly on standard profile rails in specialist machine construction applications. Despite their compact form factor, the robust modules offer a wide range of communication options for highly efficient automation: Multiprotocol functionality reduces the number of device variants needing to be reserved.

The 2COM variant for serial interfaces ensures the connection of established applications to Industry 4.0. The integrated web server and the sophisticated diagnostics concept facilitate commissioning and maintenance of the modules.

The ultra-compact design of 32 x 144 x 31 millimeters (W x L x H) permits installation even in the tightest spaces.

Two M8 Ethernet ports with an integrated switch simplify the development of line topologies.

FEN20 – Ethernet I/O Blocks for Control Boxes

The FEN20 Ethernet I/O modules quickly and effectively make standard switching signals bus-compatible. The FEN20 devices are available in two designs: The FEN20-4DIP-4DXP and FEN20-4IOL design can also be easily retrofitted in control boxes and control panels to quickly make operating elements such as pushbuttons and lights bus-compatible.

The large version, FEN20-16DXP, is designed for the same application and offers 16 I/Os that can be operated as input or output in the DXP version without configuration.

Block Modules with IO-Link Master — Smart and Flexibly Efficient up to the Last Meter

Turck’s IO-Link Masters are the connecting pieces for digital communication on the “final meter” at sensor or field level. They allow simple integration of IO-Link devices such as sensors and field devices, I/O hubs, valve manifolds, robot grippers, or motors.

In addition to IO-Link master modules in a compact (TBEN-L-8IOL) and ultra-compact form factor (TBEN-S-4IOL), Turck's portfolio features two unique device types: The hybrid TBPN and TBIP safety modules combine safe signals with the versatility of the bidirectional interface in a single module. For high availability PROFINET applications, the TBEN-L-8IOL has the option of communicating with two redundant controllers – unique worldwide.

Reduced machine costs: IO-Links standardized 3-wire cable saves storage costs, assembly and commissioning time.

IO-Link enables flexible production processes and more efficient process changes by configuring the devices from the controller.

The integrated communication of diagnostic data or error messages increases plant availability.

Industry 4.0 Ready: IO-Link forms the basis for digitized production.

Easy maintenance through plug-and-play device replacement with IO-Link 1.1.

SIDI simplifies the integration of IO-Link devices in Profinet networks by means of drag-and-drop as if they were Profinet devices.
