Radar Sensors for Short and Long Range up to 30 m
TURCK's DR distance radar sensors with special lenses expand the range of applications to include object detection at long and short ranges
TURCK is expanding its DR radar sensor series with two new variants: the DR30N for precise long-range detection and the DR7.5WE for wide-area close-range monitoring. In addition, retro-reflectors, known as corner cubes, are available to improve signal quality in demanding applications. The new sensor variants are ideal for detecting ships and crane systems in port logistics (DR30N) or for vehicle detection and collision protection (DR7.5WE).

Long range up to 30 m or wide detection field
The DR30N offers a range of up to 30 m and a spherical beam shape of ±2.5°. This makes it particularly suitable for precise detection over long distances, such as for monitoring storage areas or for distance control. In contrast, the DR7.5WE with an ellipsoidal beam shape of ±22.5° to ±7.5° and a range of up to 7.5 m enables wide area monitoring. These features make the sensor particularly suitable for collision avoidance applications, conveyor technology, and pallet detection.
Easy parameterization via Radar Monitor in TAS
Like the established DR15S variant, all sensors are designed in a robust M30 metal housing with IP67 protection and offer either IO-Link or switching outputs. Users can conveniently parameterize them via the visualization and simple drop-down fields in the Radar Monitor in the TURCK Automation Suite TAS.
